Trust Bank PLC has signed two agreements for refinance schemes initiated by Bangladesh Bank to support the development of CMSME clusters and MSMEs across the country.
The signing ceremony presided over by Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, was held on Monday. Among others, Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank; Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SME & SPD, Bangladesh Bank and other senior officials. MD and CEOs from 24 banks and 5 non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) signed the agreements on behalf of their respective organisations.
Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Trust Bank PLC, signed the agreement on behalf of the bank.
Under the refinance schemes, Bangladesh Bank has introduced a fund of BDT 30.00 billion aimed at developing CMSME clusters and BDT 15.00 billion to promote the growth of MSMEs across the country. Entrepreneurs will be able to avail financing facilities at a concessional interest rate at 7 per cent.
