How to Open Trust Hajj Card

Opening a new Trust Hajj Card with TBL is simple. Follow these steps:

Eligibility

  • Bangladeshi citizens performing Hajj.
  • Customers meeting the applicable Hajj travel and foreign exchange requirements.
  • The card limit is subject to the Hajj quota prescribed by the Government and applicable Bangladesh Bank regulations.

Required Documents

  • Duly completed and signed Hajj Prepaid Card Application Form.
  • 1 copy passport-size photograph.
  • Copy of valid passport.
  • Copy of Hajj travel documents.

Terms & Conditions

  • Trust Hajj Card is intended for use in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj period.
  • The USD limit will be determined according to the applicable Hajj quota and Government regulations.
  • The card is valid for up to 5 years; however, the permitted usage period is 3 months after activation.
  • As per applicable Bangladesh Bank regulations, the Hajj Card must be returned to the Bank and closed within the card validity period.
  • Any unused balance will be transferred to the customer's account or encashed through a pay order, subject to applicable Bank procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Card usage is subject to Visa, Trust Bank, Bangladesh Bank and applicable Saudi Arabian regulations.

Application / Issuance Process

  1. Customer submits the completed Hajj Prepaid Card Application Form and required documents at the branch.
  2. Customer deposits the required amount at the branch.
  3. The branch processes the application and completes the required passport endorsement.
  4. The branch forwards the necessary information to the Card Division for card loading/recharge.
  5. The Card Division processes and prepares the card.
  6. After completion of all formalities, the branch delivers the Trust Hajj Card and PIN to the customer.

Detailed Approval & Issuance Process

  1. Branch Approval: The Branch Manager approves and issues the prepaid card from the stock maintained by the respective branch.
  2. Application & Payment: Customer submits the application form and deposits the required amount at the branch.
  3. GL Deposit: The branch deposits the amount to the designated “Prepaid Card (FC USD)” GL account, mentioning the customer's name and card number.
  4. Card Recharge: The branch forwards the required information to the Card Division for recharging the Hajj Card.
  5. Passport Endorsement: The branch endorses the customer's passport and sends the soft copy of the application form and endorsement copy to the Card Division.
  6. Document Preservation: Original documents are preserved at the respective branch.
  7. Card Personalization: Card Division personalizes the card in the name of “Trust Hajj Card.”
  8. Card Delivery to Branch: Card Division delivers the required card to the respective branch.
  9. Limit Verification: The Head of Cards / In-charge of Card Division verifies and ensures the applicable card limit.
  10. PIN & Card Delivery: Card Division provides the card along with the PIN, and the branch delivers the card to the customer after completion of all required formalities.
