Retail Banking Division of Trust Bank PLC, in partnership with the Bangladesh Insurance Academy (BIA), has successfully completed a three-day training program on Bancassurance for its employees. The training took place at BIA’s campus in Mohakhali, Dhaka.
A total of 50 employees from Trust Bank took part in this first batch of training. They received in-depth instruction from experienced professionals from the regulatory, insurance and banking sectors. The training will help Trust Bank provide better service by offering customers a wider range of financial products, including insurance.
A certificate awarding ceremony was held on September 11, 2025, at BIA. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Md. Sayed Kutub, Additional Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance.
Other special guests included Brigadier General Shah Sagirul Islam, ndc, afwc, psc (Retd), CEO of Astha Life Insurance Company Limited and Md. Wahed Ibne Shahed, Vice President and Head of Retail Banking Division of Trust Bank. The event was presided over by Mr. S.M. Ibrahim Hossain, ACII, Director (Current Charge) of Bangladesh Insurance Academy. Senior faculty members from BIA also attended the ceremony.
This joint effort by Trust Bank and BIA shows their strong commitment to staff development and innovation in financial services—especially in the growing field of Bancassurance in Bangladesh.
